Not just for babies May 20, 2009
By Pool Enthusiast This is a miracle worker for dry rough cracked skin. It's great for elbows, knees, heels, feet, etc. It softens and heals in a couple of days with nightly use. Some nursing homes and hospitals use it on their patients and residents to prevent bed sores and pressure ulcers.

Really Good!! Oct 08, 2008
By Patrick Clough I truly love this product. I have a problem with zinc oxide ointments, i find that is darkens the baby's skin and is hard to clean up. Been using A&D from the 1.5 oz tubes and needed something bigger.
It comes off easily (off my hands too) and smells good.

no diaper rash - ever Sep 08, 2011
By billy ray valentine when i was deployed over in iraq, i developed a severe rash as a result of being so hot and sweaty all the time. hurt like the dickens. so, when my daughter was born, i took it as my solemn duty to make sure she didn't get diaper rash. ever. i tried desitin, boudreax's, triple paste, etc. but nothing works as well as this stuff. the petrolatum makes an impermeable layer on the skin, keeping it moisturized and dry while the cod liver oil (the secret ingredient) and the lanolin help keep the skin healthy. great stuff!!!

A&D ointment is marvelous May 16, 2010
By Rosemary Allen This ointment helps keeps my hubands legs (he's 83 yrs old) smooth. It keeps my hands smooth. I think it is more than just for diaper rash that I thought it was.

Not for diaper rash Nov 30, 2011
By BKdweller I tried A&D when my daughter was a few months old, after we ran out of the Vitamin A & D packets that the nurses at the hospital sent us home with. And her diaper rash flared up to a painful bright red, once her skin was even slightly broken, that didn't go away no matter how much A&D I used, sometimes in combo with Desitin, how often I changed her diaper, or if I let her skin air dry before applying. I even switched to more expensive diapers with an extra mesh lining. All the while using more and more A&D. Nothing worked. Now I find out that the commercial brand A&D is NOT THE SAME THING AS VITAMIN A/VITAMIN D ointment. I guess from the other reviews I can start using this for myself when my hands/elbows/knees get really dry.
