I've been using Biore products for several years and these strips are a great help in cleaning out my pores! I don't wear makeup, but my skin tends to get very oily around my nose, chin, and forehead. The combo pack is great for treating all three areas.
The best way to use this product is to dry your face after a hot shower, so your skin is slightly damp, before applying the strips wherever your pores most need them. The product takes between ten and fifteen minutes to stiffen, and it does feel very strange while drying. It does not hurt if you remove them quickly and will pull out a lot of dirt from your pores.
It takes practice to find the right skin dampness so that the strips don't stick too well, leaving sticky goo on your skin, or stiffen without attaching to what's clogging your pores. I'm always amazed at how many little columns of stuff are on the strips I remove. It looks disgusting, but it's much healthier removed from my skin! These strips don't always remove large blockages well, especially not around the nose, but serve well for general cleansing on a weekly or daily basis. Afterwards, my face always feels fresh and clean. I use two facial strips for each nose strip, so I sometimes have to buy a box of just facial strips (they sell both kinds individually as well). I definitely recommend these strips to remove oil buildup from your skin!

My husband loves these, they work so great, granted he has a great nose for them to work. Where as I have trouble getting the nose ones to work, but the face ones work better for me. What is your trouble area? Each package comes with specific strips for your trouble areas. If you happen to be like my husband and me, then buy this box because I get the face strips and my husband gets the nose strips. A great buy!

Biore pore strips are a classic for a reason -- they seriously work. (Just don't buy from AmericaRx - they sent me the wrong product and overcharged me.) But this product is awesome, even if pulling gunk out of your pores looks a little icky.

I've never had a problem with pimples--in fact, I think I have pretty nice skin, even at 33. When I was younger, I never even washed my face, which I shudder to admit now, apart from a splash with water and rub with my fingers when in the shower and a little make-up remover.
When I turned 30, I started on a full-scale skin regimen, which included trying Biore strips. I didn't use them very often, but got some little columns when I did--mostly on the right side of my chin. After reading reviews here, I tried the use-after-shower method (I also always wash my face right before applying the strips, as directed). This method got out a considerable amount more (including a little on the left side of my chin, which never leaves anything on the strip). I'm not sure of the effect of the strips on acne, but I do notice my pores are absolutely invisible after using these--which I do now once a week. I love them, even if just for the satisfaction of knowing that stuff is no longer in my face.
While I can't say if these strips have any effect on blackheads or acne, I can say that they remove even thin white columns that otherwise have had no visible effect on my face except to enlarge my pores a little upon careful close-up inspection. However, I use them every week and will continue to do so.
Yes, they're a little pricey. However, I buy them in bulk when I find them on sale somewhere. If you hunt around, you'll be able to find lower prices. Since I only use them once a week, they last for quite some time.
