Geez........ it's a FILTER. Duh. Nov 11, 2007
By Michael Barnett OK, there isn't too much you can say about a filter, except whether or not it filters. This one does. I have two cats, and of course, being cats, they can't be bothered to keep all their litter in the box. What fun would THAT be? So I bought a vacuum with a HEPA filter so that any, um, smells would be contained. And, more importantly, dust that might make it through the bag. OK, HEPA filters don't filter out all smells, but they do a pretty good job, and this one is no exception. And it does seem to control all the dust, so I don't sneeze, scare the cats, and make them spread MORE litter on the floor. If you don't buy the manufacturer's filter, make sure you do buy a true HEPA filter and not a HEPA-TYPE filter. I think they call them HEPA-TYPE filters 'cause they LOOK like a HEPA filter. They sure don't filter like one, though. There's probably a million websites written by very bored people out there who can explain this better than I.
Now, I rated the filter 4 stars for the simple reason that, in order for it to get 5 stars, it's gonna have to install itself and vacuum for me while I drink a beer and write more highly informative reviews.

It's the wrong filter Jun 13, 2009
By Matthew Dyer OK, part of this is my own stupidity. I looked at the picture that goes with this product, and it clearly says HF-9. However, the product description says HF-1. Anyway, I looked at the picture and thought I was getting that, and now I have the wrong filter. Oh, and it's a knock-off filter, not a real Eureka. Again, this is not what you see in the picture. It was shipped quickly, arrived on time, but now I have to go through the hassle of returning it.

Genuine Eureka Filter Worth the $$$ Jan 18, 2008
By Mamadillo I tried purchasing a non OEM filter instead of this to save money. I won't do it again. It did not fit and kept blowing off the back. Tried to tape it on and that didn't create enough of a seal to make it worth while. I will purchase OEM from now on.
Not Geniune Eureka product as indicated Nov 22, 2011
By Sid V

The item is not a genuine Eureka filter as the picture and description indicate. I received an aftermarket filter.
It may be a good filter, and I might have purchased it anyway, but I don't like being deceived. There was another review with the same issue. This should have been corrected.
Advertised Picture is NOT Accurate Apr 29, 2011
By Viknord Looking at the picture (bottom right corner), you will note that it reads "60285C." The "C" and the "Premium" "True HEPA filter" were what I was expecting, but that's not what I received from Allergy Be Gone - mine was 60285F.
This filter is a HEPA and details on the packaging claim if filters "airborne pollutants 0.3 microns or larger," so it's seems comparable to the True HEPA.
It's just a vacuum filter, but it's still nice to know what you are buying.
