3Sort of a bleh  Feb 22, 2012
By Evan "Evan"
I'm not a body wash snob. I'm in my 30s. I don't think Axe is just for teens. It took me awhile to get over their silly ads before I finally tried a bottle. That's sounds more like an intro to a support group than start of a review!

To put it bluntly, I would use plain bar soap if it were up to me, but my wife loves all these different scents the body washes offer. I didn't care for Dark Temptation since it made me hungry and I noticed depressed women following me around when I used it. Yeah, I'm just kind of mocking Axe's commercials. Stick with me. I'll get focused here in a second. I do like Excite, but I kind of got tired of it. One of the newer ones Anarchy reminds me of Dark Temptation without the chocolate. It's not bad at all. Kilo didn't do it for me. I felt like I stepped out of an 80s ad for after shave. I did start trying and liking the lighter scented Axe body washes like Snake Peel, even Shock and Thai Massage. I think I've tried them all. One that I did not like at all was Phoenix. I don't know for sure why, but it reminds me of 90s colognes like Cool Water. I was a teenager in the 90s so that one just made me feel like I was trying to recapture my youth. Which made my wife precede to check my phone for high school girlfriends numbers and ask me questions like, "do you have a class reunion coming up?" Sorry Axe for mocking you. I do actually like most of these products as basic body washes. I have tried Old Spice, Adidas and Gillette's but the Axe ones do seem to make me feel cleaner and the scents last a little longer. You can blend most of these scents with certain colognes. I have found that the Excite scent blends well with Givenchy PI cologne.

This scent here though is one I have never seen in stores and had a little left on a gift card here at Amazon, so I took a shot at a bottle of it to see what I thought of it. Trust me, these scents can become an obsession of sorts. I did not like this scent at all. I've seen other reviews mention that it smells like a certain kind of smoke. I don't know if that's true or not. It smells a lot like Phoenix to me. This is another too that must have a very strong coloring in it. A little of it dripped out on my bathroom sink. It took nearly a week of cleaning products to pull the stain off. If you've tried this scent and like it, then you're the reason I gave this product 3 stars. I have noticed that the Axe body washes respond differently to each of our pH levels and smell differently on everyone. Our son used it and it smells pretty good on him. Not for me though. On the other hand, I seem to have good chemistry with Shock, which others have said smelled bad on them. If you're like me and just considering this scent to try out, know ahead of time that it has a similar smell as Phoenix. It also was stronger smelling on me than most of these reviews have said. Could be a pH thing again. It was strong enough that I had to get back in the shower and use a different scent.

I was a little disappointed in the Axe body soap I received as it's not the same texture that I use to get when I purchased it in the stores. It seems to be watery which was a disappointment to me.

5Perfect product!  Apr 13, 2011

Axe "Touch" was by far the best scented shower gel they have ever made. It's NEVER too strong, even directly out of the shower. It lasts a long time at an even distribution of scent. It was such a good scent actually I should actually say smell. It is more of a smell of your body...not some kind scent they try to cover you with. ALL the women I've been with since I started using, have just been aroused by the smell. Even in passing close by....I've seen woman take in a large deep breath. Which...come on guys...that's not too bad to see either;)

5A good touch  Apr 02, 2011

I found this body wash in a store that handled close out and discontinued product for my fiance. He really enjoyed the body wash. We went back to the store where I bought it and they didn't have anymore and couldn't get any in stock. I'm so glad that I found it online. My fiancee can only use axe products around me as the smell from other products such as Old Spice make me sick.

I like this particulr axe because it does drive me crazy to smell it on my husband but most of all it is my husbands favorite one. There are a couple out there that he likes but he prefers this one. Thanks for sending the order quickly.
