This gel does help to hold my ponytail in place which is natural (wavy/curly). One of the main ingredients is water, which is good for natural hair. After saturating my hair with water, leave in conditioner, I use LA Looks gel to help stretch my hair. Sometimes I even rub some extra to extend my ponytail until I receive the desired look. It also helps with shine, moisture. I use it sparingly though. I've noticed that this gel works better on my natural hair than exspensive gels with mineral oil, such as Jam which tends to dry out my natural hair.
Will continue to purchase.

my hair s very thick and curly, and when i need it to look slick i use gel.
all gels aren't equal let me say, but i like the no alcohol- in this gel as alcohol flakes off looking like dandruff-yuck.
also, this gel softens my hair after it wears off.
when i use gel i usually saturate my hair in conditioner, or i might add a heavy hair creme or pomade to thoroughly condition my scalp and hair- and id add gel on top.
sometimes i use gel plainly without anything else.
this gel works either way and i highly recommend it for wavy/curly hair people.
i can't tell you if its great on straight hair or not because i really don't know.
but it helps keep your style so its a go for me.

Couldn't find this band is a local store so I grabbed it here, good price for the product and I like this one better then the normal 10+ blue sport i usually get.

When my hair was curly when I was younger I used this gel to define the naturallness of my curls. Even though it did do just that as well as it smells good, but it left my hair super hard after it had dried. A very big turn off when a guy wants to touch your hair, but you have to run away from him as quick as you can before his hand reaches it. -___-
