5Fantastic  Dec 07, 2010
By Kati
My hair was frizzy and the color dull. I picked this up instead of my normal Aveeno shampoo and conditioner and it's totally amazing. My color is vibrant and all of these different shades of brown and even red are coming out that I didn't even know were there. Also, without any additional styling products other than a blow dryer, it's super shiny and has significantly less frizz at the roots. I'm sure some of it is in my head but hey, if a product isn't affecting your emotions too, it's not working!

4Delivers Shiny, Silky Hair  Feb 27, 2009
By Angela "Angel"
I decided to try the Brilliant Brunette products a few months ago when I noticed my hair didn't have its ususal shiny gloss anymore and felt kind of coarse and dry. I thought maybe I was drying my hair too much or straightening it too often, but I rarely did those two things so that couldn't be it. I figured it must have been what I was putting on my hair...or what I wasn't putting on my hair. I used this for about two weeks, and I could tell there was a difference in my hair after about the first week. When I got my hair cut after the second week, my stylist commented on how soft and shiny my hair was, and I knew I wasn't the only one who could see the change.

This shampoo smells good (like cocoa butter and coconut mixed together). It lathers well, but sometimes I have to use a little more than a quarter-sized amount to get a really good lather going (I have thick hair). It rinses out nicely and doesn't tangle my hair too much, but I still follow up with a conditioner.

I'm glad I started using this and got back the shine and softness I was missing.

1Doesn't work very well for thick hair...  Nov 19, 2011

I recently bought this with the matching moisturizing conditioner. At first, I was really excited to be using it. However, I found that it takes quite a bit of the conditioner to get a good lather going and to evenly cover my hair.

After I dried it with my towel, I noticed that my hair wasn't very moist and it was left feeling very dry. It was even worse when I tried to comb it out. My comb would keep getting caught in my hair and wouldn't run smoothly through it. I think it might have to do with the fact that I have thick, long hair. I definitely don't think that I'll be buying these products again. I'd prefer to use a shampoo and conditioner that's made just for colored hair of any kind. I feel that, for a product that is supposed to be moisturizing, it doesn't do the job. If you have thick hair like me, you might want to pass this up.

1Dried my hair out!  Sep 16, 2011
By C. Hernandez
I have long brown hair that is in healthy condition. I purchased this shampoo and the matching conditioner hoping it would make my color vibrant and extra shiny. Instead it made my hair very dry and frizzy! My hair stylist even commented on how different the condition of my hair looked after using it. I was very disappointed with this and cannot recommend it to anyone.

5Very good product  Aug 19, 2011

I'm a guy with "espresso" hair and highlights. This stuff makes the highlights blend more naturally and keeps my hair shiny, but the related Conditioner is a must -- this stuff would leave my hair too dry without it. I get compliments all the time from stylists, highly recommend this product.
