I buy Sarasa gel retractable pens for use at work and absolutely love them. Ink flows smoothly and beautifully, and pens last a really long time. They have a great feel in your hand and a great feel on the page. (I usually spend a few hours writing each day, so I give these pens a good run throughout the day.)
These pens are like office comfort food. I recommend them to everyone I know as a great economical-but-high-performing choice for the office. They are not as cheap as Bic pens, but are significantly less expensive than most comparable pens.

These pens don't run out of ink quickly and flow easily.
I ordered more for my daughter when we found out how much we liked them.
The gold is great for underlining, but not for writing notes, etc.
The other colors are fun although I tend to use the blue ones more quickly and the green and red for notes I want to notice. Sort of wish they put two blue in the package so I don't have to buy a whole package to get another blue one.
