You Just Can't Go Wrong. May 26, 2009
By Aspry Jones Probably the best body wash I've ever come across. The "desert minerals" were a great idea, as they gently scour the skin into smooth cleanliness much like a few dabs of apricot scrub. The color is pleasing and not too bright like that gatorade product Axe put together and the scent is very unobtrusive. It lathers well enough - not amazingly so. I'm most impressed with its ability to clean. It's Axe's biggest winner, I think.

Like an acne scrub Mar 12, 2009
By theredwillow It really does scrub more than the average axe does. Don't bother buying the axe shower gel that matches your daily scent, the shower smell goes away... so you might as well buy this one.

Great scent with, what is that? Are those plastic beads!!!! Apr 14, 2010
By B. M Sullivan My girlfriend bought this for me as she is absolutely in love with the scent. I don't blame her, it's a nice scent even if it is overwhelming at times. So based on the smell I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
Once you start looking at the ingredients though you notice that the majority of the bottle consists of cheap sudsing agents without much in the way of natural or secondary ingredients. I can't fault them too much on this because many companies do it, but I have to subtract a star for the fact that the entire bottle is basically a dirt cheap surfactant and some fragrance thrown in. I think the Axe people can step it up a notch in this department and actually innovate instead of relying on a fancy advertising campaign.
The other main feature of this soap are the scrubbing beads, which I presume are intended to exfoliate your skin as you scrub. It's a neat little touch, but I can't help thinking that they all don't wash off and that one day I'm going to come home and find scrubbing beads in my underwear. Hasn't happened yet so I can't fault them there, but if you actually study the beads themselves you quickly come to the realization that they are polyethylene, aka PLASTIC! That's right, everytime you scrub down you are flushing plastic down the shower drain. I couldn't believe it either! Warranted polyethylene is the safest plastic around, but it is completely non biodegrable, at least not within a thousand years or so. On principle alone they should get knocked down 2 stars for this, but I'll only knock them down 1 star in the hopes that they come up with something a little more environmentally friendly.
So if you enjoy manly smells and don't care much about the environment I'd say give this one a shot. However, for those people who have an issue with cheap surfactants and plastic beads going down the drain look elsewhere or write to Unilever to make an environmentally friendly version of Axe!

A very clean and refreshing shower scub. Nov 02, 2010
By Tim D. Lewis I like axe shower scrubs and have been using them awhile. The one that I like the best is the snake peel. The desert minerals and cactus oil leave a clean aroma and feeling that I really like. The other choices are good choices as well.

A Good Product Mar 19, 2010
By Christopher A. Fulkerson
"Composer"
The product's name made me think at first it was some kind of depilatory that you would have too wait around wearing before you scraped it off. It's really a soap product. It has a refreshing smell and feels good on the skin. It's not too radical a skin experience, and feels not unwholesome. I don't think it's overpriced. I'm glad I got it.
