I have 4b/c type of hair with the z and s-strands all over my head. I enjoy using this product because it does make my hair soft, it looks conditioned, no frizz is present, it's affordable, and it blocks against humidity well. THE KEY TO SUCCESS WITH THE MEGAHERTZ SMOOTHING BALM IS TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL FLAT IRON WITH TOURMALINE, CERAMIC, TITANIUM, AND NANO-TECHNOLOGY FOR CURLY HAIR! Indeed, it gives u that Indian straight hair that you crave (if that's what u desire). But, most importantly it gets my thick hair flat. Love it!

As someone of mixed race (black/white) I have tried everything to get straight hair. From chemical relaxants to off-the-shelf creams. I discovered MHZ a few years ago at Walgreen's and now the only place I can buy it is online. But at least I can still get it! It's a WONDER product! I have found it to be:
-GREAT AT STRAIGHTENING: I have below shoulder-length hair and use about 2 quarters worth. I first blow dry my hair with a good stiff brush. I then go over it with a flat iron. The whole process takes about 20 minutes (amazingly fast if you truly have curly/spastic hair).
-FEELS VERY "CLEAN": most all straightening products try to claim they are not sticky but they really are. Give it a day or two and your hair feels gross. This MHZ never gets "gross". I have gone without washing my straightened hair for up to a week and it never magnets dirt (the way other prodects tend to) nor does it get clumpy or stringy (the way other products tend to).
-GIVES A FLOWY "ASIAN STRAIGHT" FEEL: Because it never gets sticky or clumpy, it leaves your hair "flowy". Without sounding un-PC, you all know how hard it is to get "asian-straight" hair. This stuff does the trick. My hair gets "limp"(YAY!).
-NOT VERY AFFECTED BY HUMIDITY/WATER: I am not saying you can ever get jet-straight hair in 100% humidity 100F degree days....... but this stuff is as good as you'll ever get. Even when my hair gets a little wet (I wear a shower cap but a little moisture tends to sneak in) all it takes is 2 minutes of heat (either blowdry or flat iron) and it smoothes it right out again.
I love this stuff. It makes straightening my hair a reasonable everday option. Wish it came in gallon jugs!
