How badly do you want to lose those pores? Nov 14, 2006

So this is kind of a good news/bad news situation. When I used the pore strips, my nose did indeed look fabulous. I had noticed over time I was having to use a mattifying gel over my foundation to keep the shine and cavernous pores from showing. The Biore strips really did pull a lot of junk out of them and I could skip the gel afterwards.
However.....
Take the package directions seriously. They are not meant for delicate skin. Don't use toner or an exfoliant in that area for at least 24 hours. And, think about whether you really want to use them at all. These strips are basically an adhesive and a hair spray ingredient (so says the author of "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me.") They can irritate your skin terribly and in the long run aren't good for it. They cannot be used in combination with Retinol, AHA's or BHA's and will make spider veins more pronounced. Which is a shame because my pores' appearance really did improve immediately. But truth be told, you are probably better off investing in a good exfoliant and/or clay masque.

Biore strips Mar 27, 2008

I have been using these occasionally for a few years now and have noticed a difference in my pores, especially on my nose. I like how they have added slits around the nose strips to help prevent the wrinkles and bubbles on the strip I used to get. The package recommends not using them more than once every three days. I use them twice a month (or when I remember) and use the Biore triple action astingent immediately after removing the strips. I have had no adverse reactions to this item. You should not use if you have sunburn, blemishes, excessively dry skin or are sensitive to bandages or peel-off masks. Also, stick with the Biore brand, I have tried drug store knockoffs and they ARE NOT the same.

It works better than the other brands Aug 26, 2005

I give it a 5 star because it worked a lot better than the other brands that I've tried. It really pulled stuff out of your pores. You get an instant satisfaction from it. Try it and you will be happy that you did if you have black heads around your nose area.

i dig it Jan 26, 2010
By Jennifer Mitchell it occasionally leaves some sticky left on my nose but i get such a morbid thrill of examining the strip when i take it off that it more than makes up for that. i seem to recall it working a lot better when it first came out.. it was a bit different then and got all the nooks and crannies that this one seems to miss but it's not a huge difference. still fun after all these years

A good pore blaster, but not perfect. Jun 26, 2010
By Armando N. Roman Here's a review coming from a guy who cares about hygiene. I remember using these strips when they first came out over 10 years ago, and they worked great- almost half of my blackheads would get removed each time I'd use one of these! Over the last couple of years though, something's happened to the strips, and while they still work well, only about a third of my blackheads get removed with one strip.
These strips are easy to use, and as long as you -follow the directions-, you shouldn't be having any problems. Get your nose wet, and with dry hands, place the strip on your nose, covering the area where most of the problem blackheads are. Leave it on there for 10-15 minutes (when the strip has hardened), and then peel it at the sides. Examine it closely, and you're sure to see a bunch of junk that it sucked out of your pores. It's actually fascinating to look at, and beats pinching your nose, getting one blackhead out at a time.
But like I mentioned, these won't completely get rid of them, and I've always had a hard time getting the blackheads on the sides of my nose, so you might want to look into other products or ask a specialist. But for a casual person who just wants their nose to look a little better, I highly recommend these. 'not a bad price either on here!
