A good product to keep microrganisms in reduced number in one's mouth; it should help in preventing gingivitis or gum disease.

Using this rinse before brushing helps strengthen teeth to better withstand the scrubbing caused by your toothbrush.
It can also be used after brushing to help keep your mouth alkaline, thereby discouraging bacteria from multiplying.
This product is becoming difficult for me to find in stores so buying in bulk made sense for us.

Excellent product at an unbeatable price! Jun 22, 2010
This is the best antiseptic mouth rinse on the market for many reasons. It's great for general use but especially good if you've injured the inside of your mouth in some way, if you've had some serious dental work, or if you've had an enthusiastic hygienist clean your teeth. I find it's great for every day use and I am confident that my breath is as fresh as it can possibly be.
It comes with a vile of natural mint extract that can be added to the bottle in an amount to suit your taste (literally) and is a wonderful option. Closys is also a great ally in the battle against gum disease.
Here's the best reason I found to order this product through Amazon. I paid $18.00 at my dentist for ONE 32 oz. bottle -- needless to say I was delighted to find it on Amazon for half that price.
I use the automated order system and now I get regularly scheduled deliveries - no shipping fee -- and I am NEVER without a fresh supply of Closys.
Try it, both you and your dentist will love the results.

This is a prescribed oral rinse for a Dental/Medical condition and has proven to be very effective item for the condition I am working with. I would highly recommend it.

I'm not prone to hyperbole, but I can say this is amazing stuff. I was fighting swollen, bleeding and painful gums for about a week. Usually hydrogen peroxide works. I used it several times a day for about three days with no improvement. Then I tried Listerine Total Care. Again no improvement. Next I tried Crest Pro Health and it helped but not much.
Then I discovered Closys. The first time I usd it the pain got worse but only for about 15 minutes. Then the pain went away. The pain came back so I used more of the product with the same results, except the pain increase was not as bad and went away more quickly. I used it two more times the first day.
The bleeding stopped after the first use. It took about 3 hours for the swelling to diminish and return to normal overnight. Closys could not have worked better. It seems almost magical compared to the other stuff I tried. It will be a regular part of my routine from now on. I also ordered the toothpaste and a sonic toothbrush.
I also noticed the rinse seems to clean my teeth - I feel like I've brushed my teeth after using it.
I tried it first without the flavor additve and it didn't have any taste. Then I added a total of 12 drops of the flavor to the bottle and I like the taste it leaves in my mouth. I don't understand the person who didn't like the taste. Who doesn't like mint?
