 VERY strong scent-too strong Feb 06, 2010
I am the age this line is targeted at. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. I do not wear a scent usually, and if I do it's a perfume oil. I do not like popular department store scents. I took one shower with the Pro Age body wash before bed, followed it with the Pro Age lotion, and could NOT fall asleep! The scent is SO strong, it kept me awake.
I HAD to get up and take another shower to get the stink off me. And still it lingered. The next day I had to wash all of the bed clothes. I gave it to my daughter to try-she didn't like the scent either. In her opinion, it smelled like an old woman. I am very disappointed because it's probably the best body wash I've ever used. And I have tried a LOT.
The lotion is the only one with Alpha hydroxy acids I've found in any stores near me. I could feel it working after I put it on, and my skin was very soft the next day. But again, I hated the scent.
I recommend being VERY happy with the scent before you buy it. I took both the body wash and lotion back for a refund. I called and emailed the company to ask if they'd consider changing the scent, they said no.

I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I started using it a little over a year ago. No more dry elbows. I have allergies and this doesn't make my skin itch and it smells great. As long as I can find it I will keep buying it.

I dont know why you cant find this item in the stores anymore. But I love the way it makes my skin feel, I dont even have to use saving cream to shave with I use Dove's pro age Body wash. I love the scent of it also.
I will purchase this again and again.

Doves new line of products are even better than they have aways been. I love the way my skin feels after using this product.
