In my sun worshiping youth my mother warned me of the danger of wrinkles (before skin cancer was the primary concern). Through the years, since I was 18, I have faithfully used Pond's cold cream each day.
Now, in my Social Security time of life, my hair is colored and there is excess baggage on my body, but I have no wrinkles.

Best Product for makeup and dry skin Jan 01, 2004

Ponds Cold Cream is great for make-up removal, dry skin and general moisturizing.
This cream will remove make-up including waterproof mascara, long wearing make-up and lipstick and concealer. Knock on wood I haven't found any make up yet this won't take off. Sometimes if you have on heavier make up you should use it twice to be sure you get all the residue off but that's more in the removal not the product. This product leaves my skin feeling fresh, moisturized and soothed from the silky cream. The generic versions do not stack up against the original Ponds is the best by far. I prefer this over many overpriced brands on the market sold at high end department stores.

Now I know why my grandmother swore by cold cream. If you have DRY or even AGING skin, this is hands down THE BEST moisturizing cleanser on the market. And to make it even better, it's AFFORDABLE.
Recently I've have had to change my skincare & makeup routine because my skin is now DRY instead of normal. This past winter I was HORRIFIED to find my complexion looking "pasty" with my current products. I've been looking for products that make my complexion LOOK radiant, and that actually help improve my skin. I have found my cleanser: PONDS COLD CREAM! Who would have thought???
I use Ponds to clean my face/take off my makeup in the evening.
I dampen ONLY my cheeks and forehead a bit and then I apply the cold cream to those areas. I massage it around to clean the skin.
Then I apply it to my CLOSED (un-dampened) eyes. I lightly massage it around the brow area and eyelashes to remove my eye makeup.
I then simply wet a wash cloth, wring it out GOOD and use it to remove the cold cream. (I rinse the washcloth a few times as I go.)
My skin looks moist and I could NOT be happier. I believe that this product is good for dry skin of any age group.

Ponds Cold Cream is the only cream I have used which not only cleanses the skin efficiently and without drying, but also removes eye make-up (even waterproof mascara). I have a mature, fairly sensitive skin and I can use this cream with total confidence. It also has a delicate Rose aroma in use. Unfortunately, I am told it is being withdrawn from UK shops and it is getting increasingly hard to obtain. Help!

Wonderful for extremely dry/sensitive skin! Jan 02, 2009

I have horribly dry and sensitive skin that freaks out every time the seasons change. This year, as winter was arriving, has been the worst - too much unusual dry and cold weather. So, my face felt like it had been put through a meatgrinder (and kinda looked that way too - red, blotchy, flaky...). I have spent a small fortune on skincare over my 35 years - more in the last 10 as things have gotten progressively worse. I have tried all-natural solutions, expensive stuff, drugstore stuff...some work for a short while and then stop, some don't work at all. Some are great for sensitive, but don't do enough for dry - some are great for dry but sting when I put them on.
Anyway - out of desperation this year, I thought I would try this (as well as the lotion). It has been WONDERFUL! My face looks better than it has in months - it is soothing and moisturizing, without being too heavy or leaving me with those crazy red bumps that some products are prone to. I have been using the combo for about a month, and so far have had no problems.
I use it 2x a day, putting about a teaspoon on my face and massaging for a minute or two. I then wipe it off with a warm damp washcloth. I follow it with the lotion and I am good. At night, I just use extra.
I can't say enough good things about this combo. I finally feel like my skin is reasonably "normal" - hopefully, this can be a keeper!
