I have been using this product now for about 4 weeks, and all I can say is, "it works for me". I've tried A LOT of products in the past to help even out my facial skin tone, a problem I've had since I was a teenager. I am now in my 40's. Most of other products I've used lightened my skin but they also blocked my pores and contributed to extended bouts with acne and razor bumps. I was really concerned that this product would do the same because it contains Sunflower and Mineral oil, a no-no if you're trying to clear up your acne. However, when I felt the texture of the lotion, it didn't feel oily/greasy, so I was willing to give it a try.
Long story short, I've seen noticeable improvement in my skin tone, particularly in the neck area of my face, where I've battled razor bumps. My skin is also smoother to the touch. This product contains "Meadow Sweet Extract", a lightening agent that I believe is the active ingredient in getting rid of discoloration and overall blotchy skin. It is not as harsh as other lightening agents.
I'd like to add one caveat. The instructions tell you to use this product twice a day, in the morning and in the evening until you see improvement and then use is once a day to "maintain". However, since I have a darker complexion, I only use it once a day (at night) because on me, the product initially leaves a noticeable film that might make you a little self conscious in public. It eventually dissolves, but that's a fact you should know.
I do wish this product was more reasonably priced, but I'm glad I finally found a product that works for me.

I hate to see this product get just one star. I think the previous reviewer may not have had results because of a darker skin-tone, as the reviewer suggests. I don't know. I have very fair skin and I experienced dramatic results after just a few uses. I was impressed because no other product I have tried has worked as well. I am very impressed with this product. I experienced a redness under my skin as a side effect of Nexium. When I stopped taking the Nexium the blotchy skin stayed. This product has made the redness go away, and it has also improved the over-all health and appearence of my skin. Truly, nothing else helped. I recommend this product, but maybe it works best on fair skin. It sure works for me.

I bought this product from Walgreens 5 years ago on the summer before I entered 9th grade because I was desperate to fade a large acne mark that I got from misusing astringent a year earlier. Throughout 8th grade I wore makeup to cover it and I absolutely hated wearing makeup because it actually made me more self conscious--I like being natural.So I decided I was not going to go to high school wearing makeup and I bought this since it didn't have that dangerous hydroquinone ingredient.I used it everday, twice a day, for about 8 weeks and the mark that wouldn't fade for over a year FINALLY faded! I was so happy! This is the only product I EVER purchased that didn't let me down. I'm Haitian-American so it does work on darker skin tones but the key with every product is to use it consistently for at least 6-8 weeks.

It takes time but it leaves your skin beautiful! I have acne scars and this has helped fade em away!!;)

I've used Vita K on and off for years and have always been satisfied with the results. Now that I'm in my 50's I have some age spots on my face and hands that always get more pronounced in the summer. I spend as much time as possible outside. I purchased some ocean self tanner which by the way is also a great product but when I applied it to my face the age spots really showed. I purchased the Vita K and within the first week saw major improvements. I would highly recommend this product!
